Meet the team

Our multi-disciplinary Real Estate group is highly regarded by our clients and within the sector. It comprises not only lawyers but also town and country planners. We’ve brought experts into our services in planning, development, investment, landlord and tenant matters, social housing, construction and litigation with a particular emphasis on energy, housing, education, finance and investment funds.

Our plot sales team deals with the legal aspects of plot sales for our clients, including planning, development, investment, construction, litigation and dealing with both landlord and tenant matters. The team regularly acts on behalf of some of the UK’s biggest house builders.

The opportunity

The role:

We are looking for a Legal Secretary up to Conveyancing Executive depending on experience to join our dynamic and growing Plot Sales team in Solihull, as part of our firm’s Real Estate group.

You will work closely with senior fee earners and partners within the team to carry out the administration and legal processes involved within all aspects of residential conveyancing.

The role is based within a busy and fast environment with guidance and support being provided by the team.

The key duties include:

  • acting for house builders and developers of new build homes
  • working towards the running of your own plot sales caseload from reservation to completion
  • working as part of a larger team and handling all aspects of the conveyancing sales
  • regularly maintaining close contact with clients throughout the process
  • providing an excellent service

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a minimum of 6 months’ previous experience in a similar role dealing with the residential conveyancing process from start to finish
  • additional experiences dealing with a domestic conveyancing caseload with supervision or supporting a fee earner with their conveyancing caseload is ideal
  • previous experience using a case management system
  • an understanding of all aspects of residential development and / or residential conveyancing, post site acquisition
  • experience in dealing with plot sales
