Meet the team

Our Corporate and Commercial group undertakes various corporate, commercial, tax, banking and employment work at all levels. Our specialist teams combine unsurpassed expertise with a sound understanding of the corporate landscape to provide exceptional solutions for every aspect of our clients’ corporate and business law requirements.

Our Corporate team act for SME's, owner managed businesses, financial institutions, PLC's and banks on corporate transactions. In the last 12 months we have completed more than 200 substantial deals together with a larger number of smaller transactions. Many of the deals have had enterprise values ranging from £20 to £50 million and there have also been some much larger and more complex deals.

The opportunity

The role:

We are looking for an NQ-4yr PQE Solicitor to join our Stratford Upon Avon-based Corporate team, part of our firm’s Corporate Commercial group.

The 90-strong Stratford Upon Avon office is a leading legal practice in the Coventry and Warwickshire region in its own right, as well as providing our clients access to the full range of legal services offered by the wider firm, and we are ambitious to grow.

You will provide a high quality service to clients on the full range of corporate matters.  Your caseload will include all areas of business law, in particular share and business acquisitions and disposals, complex group re-organisations, shareholder agreements, investment agreements and general corporate advisory services to a wide range of clients, which include multinational businesses as well as SME’s, owner managed businesses and start-ups based in the local region and elsewhere in the UK .

Your key duties will be:

  • working alongside a busy partner to provide assistance on a range of Corporate work
  • assisting on large complex deals with appropriate supervision, and also building up your own caseload of straightforward matters
  • handling enquiries efficiently
  • liaising with clients in a professional manner
  • working to strict deadlines

Skills and experience you will have:

  • up to 4 years’ experience working in Corporate law within a law firm (for Newly Qualified candidates, relevant experience gained during your training contract is essential)
  • strong IT skills
  • the ability to manage files effectively

  • a desire to enhance existing client relationships through day-to-day activity and to build your own relationships

  • a high degree of initiative and the ability to cope in a demanding environment
