Meet the team

To provide truly outstanding client service we work as one team.  Our Business Operations Group is made up of business professionals who work with our legal professionals to provide market leading expertise to our clients.  The Groups include; Finance, Operations, HR, Marketing, IT, Risk and the Executive Leadership team.

Our Marketing team play a crucial role in helping the firm achieve its ambitious growth plans. The team is aligned to the business, shaping, embedding and delivering against the strategy, helping to retain and attract new clients whilst putting the client at the heart of everything we do.

The team of around 20 is based in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. They are multi-disciplined, offering a range of services including client & business development, growth-led marketing, PR and communications and event planning for the firm. They pride themselves on understanding the changing marketplace, clients, legal groups and the sectors in which the firm operate to offer specialist knowledge and expertise.

The opportunity

The role:

We are looking for an Inside Sales Executive to join our Marketing team, part of the firm’s Business Operations group. 

You will support our Business Development Managers in the development of organic growth of the business through identifying key areas for growth within the teams and groups, spear-heading cross-selling initiatives across the business, driving sales management activity and supporting key account management. 

You will be accountable for maximising lead activity across the business, which would will include the sourcing of new client opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound outreach (calls, emails, LinkedIn), through to routing qualified opportunities to the appropriate Regional Development Partner or Legal team.

Your key duties will be:

  • generating leads in target sectors, key geographies or in order to support specific campaigns, via out-bound calling (cold list, lapsed clients, lead-scored contacts), social media (LI Sales Navigator), and email
  • researching client accounts to identify key players that may be interested in further initiatives of what the firm can provide, as well as understanding customer needs and requirements
  • following up inbound leads generated via demand-gen or referral network
  • setting up meetings/introductions for partners &/or business development, and route qualified opportunities to the appropriate person and team
  • exploring, developing and exploiting opportunities for additional services to existing client base.
  • assisting in the tracking of leads and pipelines tracking by measuring impact, including follow-ups, conversion and revenue
  • helping to expand contact base and maintain CRM, through the regular updating of information

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a minimum of 2 years in a similar role, ideally in a law firm; experience in professional services will be considered
  • demonstrable experience in dealing with various stakeholders
  • excellent communication skills, liaising with colleagues, stakeholders and third parties
  • solid negotiation skills to influence others at different levels
  • a degree-level (or equivalent) education and a CIM qualification
  • experience in the use of Microsoft Dynamics and Dotmailer (ideally although training will be provided for this)
