Our residential conveyancing team are a welcoming bunch. They are dynamic, hardworking and highly supportive of one another in providing a great service to our clients.

The residential conveyancing team act for clients on both new build and private transactions.  The team form part of our wealth super-team, part of our wider life and business unit.

The role: 

Are you an experienced residential conveyancing professional looking for your next career opportunity? Do you have a supportive nature and experience is leading a team? We have an exciting opportunity for an Associate to join our customer focused residential conveyancing team.

In addition to the supervision of our junior fee earners you will be responsible for providing a high quality legal service to clients in the sale and purchase of residential properties with particular emphasis on residential freehold and leasehold sales and purchases, including new builds, Shared Ownership, Right to Buy, Help to Buy and Leaseholds.

You key duties will be:

  • managing a broad caseload of straightforward and complex legal residential conveyancing matters
  • supervising junior fee earners, delegating work as appropriate
  • working with the team on our business development activities to attract new clients and develop relationships with existing clients
  • working closely with a range of clients to provide fast, pragmatic and commercial advice
  • liaising regularly with  individuals involved in transactions including individuals, lenders and agents
  • handling queries and enquiries efficiently
  • maintaining good file management
  • using a case management system
  • supervising of staff

Skills and experience you will have:

  • a minimum of 3+ years’ experience in a similar role with particular exposure to a wide range of residential conveyancing matters
  • a good technical knowledge of residential conveyancing
  • proven ability to manage and support a team
  • the ability to handle your own caseload
  • strong IT skills to include Microsoft Word and Excel
  • a solid understanding of office financial procedures
  • a willingness and enthusiasm to get involved in business development activities, ideally to able to demonstrate a proven track record of success in this area

  • a high degree of initiative and ability to cope in a demanding environment
  • excellent organisational and prioritising skills
  • exceptional attention to detail and accuracy

  • the ability to complete your own administration
