The role

We are looking for a Senior Lawyer to join our Real Estate team in KSA.

This individual will provide commercial real estate advice to existing key clients of the firm (who are primarily large mixed use real estate developers and Government related entities), assist with drafting of new real estate related legislation and regulations, and develop the Real Estate practice generally within KSA, taking the lead on client relationship building and business development initiatives to expand the existing Real Estate team across the KSA offices for the firm.

 

Duties and responsibilities are as follows:

  • To develop existing business and clientele
  • Develop and secure new client relationships and industry sources
  • Undertake Business Development initiatives in conjunction with existing Real Estate Partners, including attendances at industry events and conferences, firm and client events and functions
  • Responsible for client and file management on matters handled reporting to Head of Department
  • Responsibility for quality control, including supervision and mentoring of associate lawyers
  • Work with colleagues within other practice areas/departments as appropriate on cross-practice advice and opinions to be provided
  • Provide commercial real estate and development related advice to the department’s clients on a wide range of matters, including commercial and retail leasing, mixed-use development schemes and title structuring (jointly owned/strata title), RE transactional matters and Corporate support

 

Skills and experience
  •   8+ years of PQE.
  •  Business Development skills- ability to create and enhance client relationships at a senior level
  •  Excellent communication skills in English
  •  Bilingual Arabic/English is preferred
  • Knowledge of and existing contacts within the KSA market is preferred but not essential
  • Experience of real estate development is required, and jointly owned property/strata regime is a bonus.
  • Generalist commercial real-estate background who can build relationships with the support of the existing Real Estate and KSA office partners and generate revenue.
