The role

The PR and Communications Manager’s responsibility is to strategise both internal and external communication campaigns to create and maintain the public image of the firm. The PR and Communications Manager is also responsible for working with fee earners, senior management, social media and marketing team to establish campaign goals.

To be successful as a PR and Communications Manager you must keep abreast of industry trends and have very strong connections with local and preferably also international media and press. A PR and Communications Manager is expected to be a strategic thinker with a meticulous attention to detail, working well under pressure and meeting deadlines.

The PR and Communications Manager will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast-paced environment. To ensure success, the PR and Communications Manager should be innovative, organised and self-motivated with a keen interest in driving strategic messages to key internal and external stakeholders.

Duties and responisilities are as follows:

  • Liaise with senior management, fee earners and the marketing team to establish their needs.
  • Responsible for internal communication, mostly also in collaboration with HR.
  • Drafting and sending of press releases.
  • Communicate with the social media team and marketing department to plan content and create communication campaigns.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with local and international media and press.
  • Research industry trends.
  • Media monitoring and reporting of all PR opportunities.

Create engaging and relevant content which will enhance Al Tamimi’s presence across the region and internationally.

Skills and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or a related field (essential).
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in communications strategy development (essential).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong Arabic writing skills are desirable.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related business and communication tools.
  • Content writing experience for all media platforms.
  • Proven social media and networking expertise.
  • Strategic and creative mindset.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • A portfolio of work available for review.
