The Department

Our Casualty team provides a full, expert service in defending public and employers' liability claims, particularly workplace, public sector and claims against the emergency services. Weightmans' team is second-to-none in providing defendant litigation services in these specialist areas. We operate on a national basis with dedicated workplace, public and police teams.

The role

PLEASE NOTE THIS ROLE IS BASED IN OUR LEEDS OFFICE.

Main purpose of role

  • To assist fee earners in the team with all finance related actions and liaise with the relevant person in the Finance team to ensure this is completed efficiently.

  • Assist with accurate capturing and recording of MI

 

Main duties and responsibilities

  • Close files including ensuring all MI is captured and is accurate

  • Liaise with all relevant stakeholders (CRP, Team Manager, Finance etc.) regarding aged debt

  • Deal with Client balances

  • Processing write offs as part of bill process

  • Billing pro-formas

  • Pushing forward on billing where possible

  • Must be a team player

  • Experienced Administration Assistant

  • Show initiative and be self motivated when required to work on own

  • Strong organisational skills

  • Ability to prioritise tasks is essential

  • Good communication skills

  • Numeracy and MI skills
