The Department

The Governance Team is primarily concerned with overseeing management information, SLA compliance and financial reconciliation for one major client.

The role

Aim

To work as part of a team, supporting Case Handlers and ensuring that they comply with processes and procedures for a large Insurer client.  Responsible for the delivery of complete and accurate data, ensuring MI and financial requirements are of the highest standard.

Responsibilities

  • Liaising with the Governance Manager, Client Operations Team and Case Handlers to ensure that the Firm deliver complete and accurate  information to the Client
  • Liaison with case handlers and Finance Team to ensure the submission and completion of accurate data via the case management system
  • Interrogating and confirming the accuracy of the data input by others
  • Allocating new centrally-received instructions to the relevant teams and ensuring each case handler opens the case in accordance with the SLA
  • Ensuring that concluded matters have been billed appropriately and accurate data submitted to the client
  • Interrogation/filtering of existing MI database and delivery of spreadsheets / statistics as required in respect of specific criteria
  • Complete Management Information procedures as and when required
  • Ensure relevant deadlines, quality measures and KPIs are adhered to by the Case Handlers
  • Work in accordance with Weightmans’ values

The person specification
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Must be a team player
  • Good IT literacy
  • Ability to analyse and filter excel spreadsheets – advanced Excel knowledge desirable
  • Ability to prioritise tasks is essential
  • Experience of working in a busy office environment
  • Ability to understand and work to client SLA (training will be provided)
  • Good communication skills
  • Knowledge of the civil litigation legal process is an advantage but not essential
