Our Casualty team provides a full, expert service in defending public and employers' liability claims, particularly workplace, public sector and claims against the emergency services. Weightmans' team is second-to-none in providing defendant litigation services in these specialist areas. We operate on a national basis with dedicated workplace, public and police teams. |

Assisting case handlers on complex cases

Carrying a caseload of files to include drafting pleadings and applications and statements

Investigating claims and obtaining relevant evidence

Meeting witnesses and preparing detailed witness statements
-
File management duties, to include indexing and collating large case papers; and ensuring maintenance of client details and information both on physical file and on case management system

Attending court and accompanying counsel on trials where necessary
- All other such administrative and fee earning duties as are appropriate

Previous EP/PL experience desirable but training would be provided

Good organisational skills and time management essential – the position will carry a reasonably high fee earning target
