We have particular expertise in pursuing the recovery of bulk consumer debts and have provided our service to a number of major financial institutions and debt purchase clients. We operate innovative costs structures and can offer a specialist fixed fee product for low balance debts.

To work within the litigation team with the aim of recovering the client’s outlay in respect of their handling of claims under the relevant legislation

Main duties and responsibilities (subject to skills and experience) include:

• Assisting with import and review of new cases

• Carry out desk top enquiries to ascertain whereabouts of defendants and their ability to pay the sums due

• Assess claim file to consider whether there may be an insurer with an obligation to reimburse the client

• Negotiate with defendants to reach an agreement to settle the claim without the need for litigation

• Liaise with insurers regarding their involvement

• Some contact with client, as delegated

• Achieving set financial targets

• Provide support to Team Manager

• Complying with Data Protection procedures

Essential

• Ability to achieve targets and work under pressure

• Working as part of a team and on own initiative

• Ability to prioritise workload in order to meet deadlines

Desirable

• Previous experience within a similar role

• An understanding of the factors that determine whether or not a money claim is worth pursuing

• Ability to handle undefended money claims

• An understanding of road traffic claims and insurance law
