Main duties and responsibilities
· Manage own caseload of clinical negligence claims on behalf of the NHS, primarily consisting of pre-action and fixed-fee work
· Assist other case handlers with their cases
· Perform general file management duties
· Act upon incoming and produce outgoing documents such as letters, reports and emails
· Liaise with claimants, solicitors, clients and other parties
· Achieve set financial and chargeable hours targets
· Work in accordance with Lexcel and other internal compliance procedures
· Complete MI as and when required
· Adhere to client and firm data security requirements
· Work in accordance with client protocols
· Perform other general case handling duties as appropriate.
