PLEASE NOTE: This is a fixed term role for 12 months
The responsibility of the Credit Control Team is to secure payment in accordance with the Terms of Business and communicate on a monthly basis with all internal clients, working with them to ensure that the Credit Control Team meet cash collection and DSO monthly targets, and ensure that disputes and followed up and resolved in a timely manner.
Main duties and responsibilities
To manage and minimize debt, on our client base, whilst striving to achieve Weightmans monthly cash target and reduce the number of debtor days.
Utilisation of system information to provide accurate and detailed information to all Clients/Weightmans Staff is key.
Focusing on promoting the importance of Credit Management across the firm, specifically, this role will provide support to the existing Team Members by administratively supporting them in their Credit Control activities. This will include rota jobs/processes such as:
- Cash Allocation
- Interledger Transfers
- Automated Letters
- Daily Cash Update
- Unpaid Bill Write Offs
- Monthly Statement Run
- Producing and sending Copy Bills
- Team Filing
- Running Commercial Credit Checks
- Credit Control
- Work confidently on own initiative and solve problems arising within department, reporting to CommercialCredit Control Manager as necessary
- Identifying ways of working smarter within the wider team, encouraging better communication throughout Finance but most importantly firm wide.
- Work with both the Credit Control Team and Billing Team to ensure both teams link well together to form a water tight unit.
