We are recruiting for a 2-6 YR PQE lawyer to support the Head of Emergency Services on governance, police advisory and policy matters.
Key Responsibilities
- You will support work for police clients where the firm provides in-house services where access to swift, and accurate advice is required by senior officers and members of the client executive team.
- The role will require a confident self-starter, who has the necessary gravitas and practical approach to deal with senior personnel in a calm and pragmatic manner on what are often high profile and complex issues
- The role will require some non-legal activities assisting clients with implementation of government policy, strategy and managing major projects
- You will be expected to advise on police powers and vires in relation to specific activity. This will include advice on police statutes and regulation, NPCC guidance and delegated duties
- You will be required to advice on governance matters implementation of national and regional projects and policy matters
