The Department

The London structured finance group has been at the forefront of the industry in Europe
since the inception of the market and is known for complex and innovative transactions, including the creation of several first-ever securitisations of specific asset classes. Weil covers the full range of structured finance products with extensive derivatives expertise. Along with ABS and MBS experience, Weil has a dominant position in the revitalised European CLO 2.0 market and is active on debt portfolio trades and distressed deals.

The Role

An individual is sought to assist the structured finance team in our London office. The main purpose of the role will be the collection and organisation of documents and information (further information on typical tasks below), but there may also be scope to assist with the transaction management process, complete verification exercises and undertake some drafting work.  A balance between these tasks may vary depending upon the workflow within the group.

Person Specification
  • Assisting with the conditions precedent satisfaction process on transactions;
  • Assisting with the drafting of certain corporate documentation such as board minutes or resolutions;
  • Assisting with the transaction process on structured finance transaction unwinds and amendments, including assisting the team in drafting notices to noteholders and transaction unwind deeds;
  • Assisting with noteholder consent solicitation processes;
  • Assisting the team in preparing verification tables for offering document information;
  • Preparation and distribution of 'bibles' of documents once a deal has closed;
  • Assisting with other post-closing tasks, including the collation and distribution of original documents, security filings and the giving of notices;
  • When workload within the group requires, assisting with the preparation and collation of documentation for the signing and closing of a deal; and
  • Other ad hoc duties as and when required.
