The department

The role forms part of an Accounts team of 23 in London and a further 20 in our international offices.

Role overview

This is a varied and demanding role for a professional and confident junior applicant who is looking to learn all aspects of cashiering and accounts payable in the legal sector.  No previous experience is necessary but the successful applicant will need the ability to work effectively in a busy environment.

Key activities/responsibilities

The successful candidate will be the fifth member of the international cashiering team with the following direct responsibilities, but will also be expected to provide cover for other members of the team during periods of absence:

  • Assisting with the processing of the Accounts Payable invoices to the Aderant Expert accounting system as well as arranging timely payment of posted invoices in accordance with supplier’s payment terms.

  • Reconciliation and maintenance of Supplier Accounts

  • Assisting with the distribution, collation and posting of corporate credit cards statements for fee earners and support staff.

  • Assisting with the posting and paying of weekly expense claims from fee earners and support staff.

  • Distribution, collation and processing of the Legal Connect Invoice

  • Printing, dating, distribution and filing of Supplier Invoices into the iManage system

  • Banking

  • Obtaining Partner signature for daily payments

  • Scanning/Filing

  • Assisting with additional ad hoc duties as directed by the cashier supervisor.
