The firm has seen rapid expansion in size and geography.  Having started as a maritime law firm, in which it remains pre-eminent, the firm is today recognised for its specialist focus on five core sectors: Energy & Infrastructure, Maritime, Natural Resources, Real Estate and Transport in which it provides a full suite of services including finance, corporate, dispute resolution, tax, employment and regulatory.

Role overview

An enthusiastic, detail-oriented and self-motivated Digital Marketing Executive is sought to help our busy international team based in London. The role's main responibilities are to support the firm’s website, social media and digital presence.

 

Key activities/responsibilities

Websites

  • Regular website updates including content, imagery, SEO and tagging.

  • Uploading new articles, press releases, vacancies and profile pages to website CMS (Wordpress).

  • Content updates to WFW microsites.

  • Regular website analytics (Google, HotJar)

  • Assist with the project management and implementation of changes to the firm’s website.

  • Ensures draft content supplied by BD Managers is high quality, and advises on improvements for web

  • Liaise with Communications Assistant to ensure content is proofread and approved

  • Liaise with website agency for support queries

Social Media

  • Write and post on the firm’s social media channels across our corporate accounts

  • Liaise with Business Development team to obtain required content for posts

  • Troubleshooting queries on posting and using social media
  • Manage twitter lists for sector news and trend monitoring

  • Proactively identify opportunities for posts on the firms social media

  • Keep on top of social media trends to feed into new projects

  • Maintain social media calendar

  • Regular social media analytics

Ad hoc

  • Supports Digital Manager on projects and campaigns

  • Support Alumni programme by posting alumni news on social media and website

  • Liaise with 3rd party suppliers (web agency etc.)

  • Update firm Intranet social media page

Skills and experience – essential
  • Diplomatic, calm under pressure and a ‘can do’ attitude

  • Team player

  • Work effectively and confidently

  • B2B marketing experience, ideally within professional services

  • Previous experience in a digital, marketing or communications role (2+ years)

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Outstanding written and oral communication

  • Able to prioritise workload in order to deliver against demanding timelines

  • Good understanding of social media platforms for B2B (particularly Linkedin, Twitter, Youtube)

  • Experience of content management systems (preferably WordPress)

  • IT literate (particularly in Microsoft Office applications)

Skills and experience – desired
  • Basic Photoshop skills

  • Experience of working on projects

  • Experience of writing creative online communications (social media and web)

  • Understanding of how marketing contributes to business strategy
