Role overview

The CSR Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing the firm’s global CSR strategy and local programmes.  The role has a global remit, sitting within the Global Communications team and based in the London office.  The role includes responsibility to drive and co-ordinate CSR activities and be the central point of contact for CSR across the firm. 

Key activities/responsibilities

Strategy

  • Develop and deliver a firm-wide CSR programme whichis aligned to the wider business strategy

  • Act as a key contact internally and externally for all CSR activity

  • Act as Co-Chair and Minute-taker for the CSR Steering Committee

  • Launch, manage and evaluate key CSR initiatives working closely with relevant partners and agencies

  • Work across the business to continue to identify innovative and strategic opportunities for CSR

Communications

  • Work with colleagues to devise a communications programme, including the production of supporting materials, to increase employee engagement and volunteering to maximise the impact of CSR initiatives

  • Provide information and prepare relevant paragraphs for inclusion in business pitches and marketing materials

  • Identify CSR awards and draft submissions in order to promote our charitable and community initiatives

  • Undertake relevant research, evaluate opportunities and present as required

  • Prepare and provide analysis of CSR activity and spend to the Director of Client & Strategic Development

  • Raise profile of CSR through external and internal CSR messaging and campaigns, including an annual CSR report

  • Manage relationships with key community partners, track benefits and oversee an annual calendar of events

  • Promoting our approach to new trainees, new members of staff and generally across the firm

Skills and experience – essential
  • Excellent relationship-builder, able to develop a broad network of relationships internally and externally

  • Willingness to be involved at strategic and operational levels

  • Excellent project planning and management skills

  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with strong attention to detail

  • Reliable and well organised

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to work

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with business heads and department leaders

  • Strong written and IT skills to produce and present CSR work internally and externally

  • Uphold WFW core values

  • Previous experience of managing CSR programmes within a professional services firm.

  • Keen interest in CSR
