Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Audit Assistant to join our Grimsby office, working within the Risk and Best Practice department.

The Department

The Risk and Best Practice department provides the firm with proactive support on all regulatory, compliance and risk issues and is responsible for the management of the firm’s accreditations with Lexcel and ISO9001.

The Role

The position will be based in our Grimsby office and will involve developing, implementing and evaluating the Firm’s annual audit processes.

Duties will include:

  • Coordinating the file audit process across all departments.
  • Conducting policy and procedure reviews for Lexcel and ISO.
  • Conducting an annual anti money laundering audit process.
  • Preparing for and coordinating the Firm’s annual Lexcel and ISO audits.
  • Undertaking audits of the ID Register.
  • Supervising the Firm’s file closure procedure.
  • Overseeing the Firm’s Legal Aid contracts.
  • Preparing for monthly departmental reviews.
  • Monitoring inactivity reports.
  • Carrying out a bespoke audit function as required.
  • Regularly traveling between our office network to undertake audits.
Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in a legal practice would be an advantage although applicants with other professional service backgrounds would be considered.

  • A working knowledge of Lexcel and/or ISO 9001 or an equivalent standard would be essential to the role.

  • A driving license and own vehicle is essential.
