Summary

An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Digital Marketing Executive to join the busy Marketing department in our Grimsby office for a fixed period of 12 months.

The Department

Wilkin Chapman has a small but very busy marketing team who deliver a range of events, creative marketing campaigns and content to raise the profile of the firm and drive engagement and client creation.

The Role

This Fixed Term Contract is to cover a period of maternity leave, ideally from February/March 2020 to enable a handover of work.  The role involves assisting in the planning, execution and optimisation of the Firm’s online marketing communications. Candidates will be well-versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how the Internet can become a strong asset to securing growing revenue. Candidates will be tech-savvy and intuitive with great ideas to reinforce our marketing strategy.

With input from the Senior Marketing Manager the role will help to develop, maintain and deliver an annual plan for the digital strategy with specific KPI’s and measures of success.

Duties will include

Develop and deliver our very busy digital strategy, including:

Clients and markets - Deliver market leading client service and innovation by understanding the firms market, sector and brand strategy and supporting these through our digital channels.

  • Collaborate proactively with colleagues across the Firm to win, retain and deepen client relationships through delivery of digital strategy

  • Identify potential target audience and work closely with the marketing team to plan, schedule and communicate content.

  • Work with our creative team to develop promotional materials.

  • Manage online advertising campaigns such on Facebook to increase company and brand awareness

  • Measure performance of digital marketing efforts and provide accurate reports and analysis to demonstrate effective return on investment (ROI).

Operations - Embracing technology and continuous process improvement to not only deliver existing service levels but contribute to development and enhancement of services.

  • Conversant with mailchimp and eventbrite in preparing online newsletters and promotional emails and organise their distribution through various channels

  • Develop smart objectives for use and continual development of digital marketing and conversions

  • Be actively involved in SEO efforts (keyword, image optimisation etc.)

  • Update website content and ensure focus on SEO

  • Update intranet content ensure internal communications are fresh & robust

  • Manage web updates and developments to keep abreast of technological advancements and engagement levels online.

  • Conversant with Hootsuite, work with PR to ensure co-ordination of content shared across all digital platforms.

  • Manage client databases in line with GDPR regulations.

  • Manage relationships with digital agencies on a day-to-day basis to ensure website is working and performing effectively.

  • Able to develop, implement and deliver market leading digital campaigns to raise brand, engage with target audience and convert traffic.

  • Provide regular reports on digital marketing campaign effectiveness.

Financial – To constantly monitor spend against budgets to ensure effectivess of spend on events and maximising returns where possible.

  • Be aware of, and contribute to, the BD & marketing strategy with particular focus around understanding our sector approach and key engagement opportunities through our digital strategy.

  • Deliver the digital strategy on time and within budget, that meets (and hopefully exceed) expectations. 

Qualifications

Ideally candidates should hold a BSc/BA in marketing or relevant digital qualification.

Skills Required

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Understanding and adoption of the Firm’s values and behaviours. 
  • 2 years proven experience as Digital Marketing Executive or similar role.

  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices.

  • Experience with B2B and B2C social media, Google Adwords and email campaigns and SEO/SEM

  • Knowledge of web analytics tools, goal creation and conversion tracking.

  • Skills and experience in creative content writing for web and online.

  • Analytical mindset and critical thinking.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
