An excellent opportunity has arisen for an IT Trainer to join the IT team in our Grimsby office.

The Role

The successful candidate will assist with increasing the IT knowledge and skills across the firm so that employees can be more productive and be able to use the IT systems to a high level.

The ideal candidate must have their own transport and be prepared to travel between our office locations in the Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire region.

Duties will include
  • Providing training on a range of bespoke business systems alongside familiar off-the-shelf packages, such as Microsoft Office. Our training combines functional instruction with guidance on Wilkin Chapman processes and policies.
  • To produce a range of supportive materials including quick reference guides, video demos, eLearning modules and manuals for all of our applications. These are stored on our intranet (SharePoint) and maintained and kept up to date.
  • Support users with IT related questions; fielding not only adhoc queries, but also working with the IT Service Desk to publish helpful Tips, targeted at reducing Service Desk calls.
  • Assist with the production and delivery of project-based IT training.
  • Provide IT induction training for new starters ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills to be able to carry out their role.
  • Provide training to users with new devices on the functionality and how to use it to its best of its ability.

Qualifications
  • Formal training qualifications are desirable but we encourage applications from anyone who can demonstrate equivalent experience. 
Skills Required

Successful applicants must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience of delivering IT Training in a classroom is essential for this role.
  • Application skills and experience.
  • An excellent understanding of Microsoft Office packages.
  • Good IT knowledge and understanding.
  • Previous experience of eLearning authoring.
  • Be able to deliver training remotely (e.g. with users working from home).
  • Understanding and adopting the firms values and behaviours.
