The role

We are a Top 100 UK Law firm and are advertising for an experienced accounts assistant to work in our client accounting team.

Use of Aderant / Elite would be advantageous.

The ideal candidate will have between 2 and 5 years legal cashiers experience and looking to further their career in the Legal Sector.

You will be working within a small team and be assigned your own departments to manage the aged debt.

The main responsibilities of the Legal Cashier will be:

  • Checking and posting of client funds coming in.

  • Checking and posting of client funds going out.

  • Posting of Land Registry/ TM searches and Search Flow invoices daily.

  • Client and Matter set up on PMS

  • Manging daily client bank reconciliations

  • Setting up client account payments and checking of payments

  • Ensuring compliance of SRA rules

  • Reviewing credit disbursements daily.

  • Assisting with month end billing.

  • Chasing fee earners on a daily basis re unallocated client funds.

  • Allocate daily payments into Office account

  • Cheque paying in and cheque payments, daily.

  • Client to office and office to client transfers daily.

  • Assisting with Month End process

  • Review residual balances on a monthly basis
