The role

We are looking for a Maternity Cover Event and Sponsorship Manager who shares these values and is passionate about demonstrating them across our events schedule.

This role will sit within our wider marketing team which contains experts in key account management, digital, bid management and CRM. The right candidate will work with the partners and the wider mar- keting team to develop and drive our event and sponsorship strategy.

Things we’d like you to do:

 

  • Ensure all events run smoothly and that they project a professional image of the firm
  • Provide leadership and guidance across our busy events/sponsorship calendar
  • Coordinate input from other departments e.g. IT, facilities, reception, fee-earners

  • Apply business development processes to our events to make sure we get maximum return on all our activity
  • Measure the return we get from events and sponsorship
  • Integrate events into our business development campaigns
  • Ensure sponsorship forms part of a wider campaign as opposed to isolated one-offs
  • Negotiate with our suppliers to reduce costs and maximise returns
  • Manage the budgets for events / sponsorship

  • Stop us doing events and sponsorship which don’t add value.

Candidate specification

Other skills / attributes:

  • Highly organised and able to prioritise workloads, negotiate deadlines, work with external suppliers
  • In depth event experience operating at a senior executive/manager level ideally in a Professional Services, business-business or large organisation
  • Ability to build relationships at a senior level, you will be required to change and influence the behaviour of senior people. It is also vital for you to be proactive with a 'can-do' approach and to have a sound business understanding

  • Diplomacy and gravitas to influence and make an impact with partners while being an advisor

  • Ability to prioritse work according to its importance to the firm

  • Ability to flex style and approach to the situation and audience

  • Creative and innovative in order to be able to effectively communicate key business messages to a diverse audience

  • Strong attention to detail, especially when working to tight deadlines and simultaneous projects
