The role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced property/real estate litigation solicitor to join our team.

 

 

The team

We are a busy, highly skilled and collaborative team specialising in real estate litigation. The team comprises 2 partners, 3 senior solicitors, 4 solicitors, 1 legal executive, 3 paralegals, a trainee and 3 PAs.  We share support services with our commercial litigation team.  The candidate will report to the partners and will work both independently with their own case load and with other partner led teams in the department, involved in all aspects of litigation, ADR and risk advisory work. We work flexibly with part home part office working agile working. We have consistently good directory entries at individual and team level and are proud of our client base. We value and are engaged in a wide range of networking and business development activities and encourage this at all levels.

Client base and type of work

Our practice is purely real estate litigation rather than a mix of litigation work and candidates with this type of experience are preferred. We work for an extremely diverse client base from social housing providers, to prestigious developers, from HNW private clients to investment portfolios and are well represented in the development, housing, charities, ecclesiastical, education, investment, retail and leisure and restaurant sectors, amongst others. Our work ranges from development and land disputes, property contract disputes, Long leasehold, tenancy disputes and asset management work. We collaborate with many of our internal clients and are proud of our own client base.

Candidate specification

Requirements for the role:

Track record in a strong property litigation team is preferred. A willingness to work independently and as a team and a strong work ethic essential.

An ability to management key client relationships and internal relations is important.

Good work ethic and passion for real estate and real estate litigation.

Excellent written and oral communication skills and organisational skills

An interest in development of and supporting other colleagues.
